The Waterdown East-Flamborough Heritage Society recently expanded its reach to include the boundary of West Flamborough and wanted a new logo to represent the change.
The name was simplified to the Flamborough Heritage Society and we featured one of its most significant landmarks in the new identity. The logo was designed to have a historic feel to it with a muted colour scheme, classic serif font and illustrated in a traditional wood cut style. This allowed us to celebrate the heritage of the community in the visual representation of the logo design.
The Heritage Society is a non-profit organization so reproduction must be cost effective with a simple two-colour logo design that also works well in black only.
Poster Fundraiser
The Flamborough Heritage Society needed a fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for the group so we created an informative poster to highlight the history and some key buildings of the area.
Limited funds were available and the poster would be only be sold for $10 so printing and design costs need to be accounted for. Local businesses were asked to sponsor the poster printing and their logos would be included on the poster without interfering with the design and message.
Advertisements
Each year we create a new poster to promote their biggest fundraiser, a local book fair. Each poster has a new theme and highlights the event and unique features.
Interactive Games
The Society wanted to engage to community and promote a new book series called “Vanishing Hamilton” so we created a series of online, interactive quizzes based on facts from the books. These were posted online ad as a computer kiosk during their annual book fair.
